Born in Avignon,
France, March 6, 1963 Daniel Mourre began his professional career
by completing advanced accountancy studies.
In 1986 he
continued his career in retail sales (hypermarket) as "chief
of the library department" and as "chief of the housewares
department"; before deciding to completely abandon retail
sales.
In 1996 Daniel
changed his career path and undertook training as a cabinetmaker.
It was during this period that he discovered his passion for
"plaster" as opposed to wood; which is more in harmony
with his true nature. This revelation ultimately led Daniel to
his new passion; the creation of mirrors as works of art.
This new period
of his career is lived as a deliverance.
Each of his
works is a creation, different and unique. Daniel is a perfectionist.
Each art work for him is felt as a birth of something new. Once
the mirror created, it must be "finetuned", in other
words refined with a final touch of colour and shine which will
give the mirror its final dimension.
Daniel considers
his works of art as an extention of himself; as a child of his
soul. His very personal touch combines different styles and marries
them with harmony that can not go unnoticed.
In 1997 Daniel
Mourre first opens his gallery. From this date Daniel exposes
each year in January and in September in the professional exhibition
in Paris.
" If
my eyes were a reflection of my soul, then my mirrors are a product
of the essential of myself", says Daniel.
